Hana Marei

Multidisciplinary Artist and Designer - Yoga Teacher - Personal Trainer - Nutrition Coach

I’m all for the multi-hyphenate life, believing in freedom and fluidity over rigidity in a fulfilling career path. Honouring all sides of you and your passions is so important, and it would be a shame if you felt so boxed you don’t get to share your unique perspective and talents with the world.

Creative Work:

Tending to work with mixed media, most of my work will include layers, use a range of materials, and go through several stages and methods of making. While digital processes have been incorporated into my practice, the bulk of it prefers and relies on analogue processes. Recently, much of it has taken a turn to focus on print and surface design, and is for that reason quite aesthetically driven. The process often involves taking an object or idea that could be deconstructed and visually recreated, with a tendency to lean more towards abstract work, though it of course varies depending on the project.

Wellness Services:

Having struggled with both my weight and mental health the majority of my life, I’m incredibly passionate about health, fitness, and overall wellness. Wellness is at the core of everything I do, and I believe it should be the foundation everyone builds upon. If we are not well, what hope do we have of operating at our best or creating our best work? Not all of us have been dealt the same cards in life, and we all need to honour our different bodies, needs, and challenges. I want to help people optimise their own selves while honouring their individuality, at their own pace, with their own values in mind, so that they can feel their best and create the lives they want from a place of confidence and self love.

Personal Life:

Born in Egypt, but raised moving around multiple countries around the Middle East, I finally graduated with a BA in Art & Design from the Birmingham School of Art, while simultaneously achieving a diploma in teaching yoga. By mid 2022 is when I also started studying to get certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. Since graduating, I’ve worked in both the wellness and creative industries, and now do both on a self employment and freelance basis.

I remain on the move and so I’m not based anywhere specific, but I’m currently mostly between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
